On the Land
We love to watch the progress of this field down by the river each year, from stark snow stitched with rows of golden stubble to waving tassels of pale yellow with plump fat ears dangling below.
Yesterday preparations for planting were in full swing.

Love these videos!!! Just totally amazing!
A promising sight, reminding us to be hopeful for the season to come.
Cathy, thanks! We love this set of fields, three of them, belonging to two different farmers in our area. The cycle of life and the growing of crops well done are so vividly presented year after year....corn, rye, corn. Alfalfa corn. Corn on corn on fine river flats land. It is a joy to behold for these farmer hearts.
Jacqueline. I hope by the time this cornfield sprouts its first tender green leaves some sanity has returned to our lives.
I love it when we are 'on the land' again. AND we the irrigation starts. Next will be the joy of the little seeds popping up...then the harvest. Farming is great fun.
Linda, I love your posts about your operation!
