Fish From the Christmas Bird Count
We visit the Hales Mills Station every year. Usually get some good birds there and always get to see these great trout.

Something Fishy Going On
While indulging in the Christmas bird count last Friday, we stopped by the Hale Creek Field Station, where there are often small birds, ducks and maybe an occasional heron to be counted. Nothing but a few chickadees this year, but there sure were trout!

This is the end of the culvert between the two parts of Lyker's Pond.
There are Brown bullheads, sunfish and assorted minnows. There was a dense ball of them at least a yard across.
