Running in place

Or that's what it feels like. The boss is sick, maybe a stomach bug, maybe something more serious. Of course, he won't go to the doctor. Alan is still in school, so the girls and I are doing the feeding and milking. Thank God they are out of college for the summer and Liz knows the cows as well as anyone. We sent him in the house to rest last night and finished up chores (you know a farmer, if they can crawl to the barn, they will work). It wasn't too bad.

I really hope it is nothing bad.

What is it with men? Mine ruptured his appendix and after 2 days I finally got him to consent to get it looked at. The doc was ammazed he lived.

Hi loubob, I don't know what drives them. Mine worked some days with a festering appendix too, some years ago, although at least it didn't burst. He went out today to build fence! I helped all morning but finally had to come in as the sun was frying me. He is back at it, of course. At least we gave him a couple of milkings off to rest, which I hope helped.

I hope he feels better, and that you catch a little break too. Glad the girls are there to help you.
