Bama Breeze
***Notice that only Bama and Mandy still have ear tags, and all Mandy has is her official USDA tag (required for shows). They ALL had tags like Bama's when they went to pasture. The National Animal ID System, NAIS, will rely on ear tags to trace animals to their source.....what a wonderfully reliable system they are planning.

The photo of Mandy is proof positive that she is a monster cow!! And I don't mean in a nasty bad cow sort of way!
You know, my sheep have these hard plastic tags...sort of like the ones they have to remove from clothes to prevent shoplifting...in their ears. They originally came from NC and all sheep have to have those for the scrapie program. Anyway...even those are starting to rip out of their ears. The whole tag thing is just nuts.
These are some beautiful cows!
Paints, we know you love her. lol. I tried to get both her and Blitzie in the same photo....
Rosie, I have yet to discover any kind of tag that a cow can't lose. Hardly any of our milk cows have them even though they all start out with a couple
And thanks for the kind words!
Hey girls! Love your cow shots! :)
Thanks, mon@rch
Good luck getting the Blitz and Mandy in the same photo. Specially with as big as they are!
Yep, waste of time and money but that's what they are good at.
Enjoy the scones, let us know how you liked them!
I like Liquorice's Cruella Deville hairdo!
Paints, indeed, though I do try
WR, thanks I can't wait to taste them!
sTacy, Ha! You're right, she does look like her. She is much sweeter though, really kind of a nice one. They are so hairy from being out on the hill. Any that have calves and come in the barn will have to be clipped I fear.
