We added hyssop to the herb garden for the first time last summer. It wintered over well and in the contained area by the honey locust it doesn't seem invasive. It has produced a few seedlings though, which I will pot up when I get a chance.....it is too nice not to share. We don't really use it for anything, but it is attractive and we love the scent.
A crushed leaf smells just like licorice.
We give each other leaves sometimes.

I've heard of hyssop but never knew what it looked like. Way to tender for here at any rate. What is it used for?

Looks like I may be down here for the length of the job. Home every other weekend after this weekend. Told the powers that be that I won't miss Tawny's PARTY!!!!I'll find another job if I need to!!

Aussie O, thanks, I believe it is related to mint...at least it looks like it. I probably should have put it in full sun, but I like to keep the very vigorous plants where I can easily contain them.
