Another busy day ahead

Farm Side deadline.
Farm Progress Days
Corn
More corn.

So here are a couple of shots I took for a few of you while we were over at the fair last week.

For Steve
(The White is no more, having taken a one way ride on a large flatbed just yesterday. Its spot in the line up has been taken by an actual honest to gosh JOHN DEERE! I have always wanted one.)

For Nita
I loved this calf instantly and asked the girl attending them about her. She was born a week before the cut off for one of the show groups but they were honest enough not to change her birth date. We don't change them either (witness the August 30th calf named Trent) and we get a lot of flack for it. Believe it or not this beautiful baby was sired by a herd bull used for clean up! There were more Guernseys at the show than I have ever seen before and they were really, really good ones. Lots of strength and exceptional depth and correctness. This is not exactly Guernsey country and it was good to see them.

For anyone who can spell and likes a good laugh

Wow! Thanks.
That sign is great ... I thought maybe they were serving Lion ... Eat-A-Lion.
Those sausage stands smell pretty darn good when you walk by.

Congrats on the new tractor! Hopefully that will make life much easier.
Those Guernseys are sure pretty.....very few of them in my area as well.

Love the sausage sandwich sign. One of my all time favorite fair foods :)

Nice Guernseys, and congrats on the tractor. When the tractor man is happy, everyone is happy!

Love the sign - there is tax preparer's office that we drive by frequently, and their sign says:
ELECT-
RONIC
FILING We always wonder who RONIC FILING is??

I still think I should have gotten to bring the snake home but nooo you had to stop me. Or maybe the cute guinea hens or pigs. lolz. Or the numerous white wabbits for sale Snowy needs a friend...

FC, thought of you when we saw the cages full of gigantic snakes. We tried for a gator at the gator show, but weren't there at the right time

Deb, thanks, we are having some problems with it as it is second hand, but the dealer is a good one and I think he will make it right. I never saw such Guernseys...what great cows!

Nita, thanks, what is Mr. Filing running for? I haven't heard any of his ads. lol

Beez look a little closer

Alan, except for the not running part

Linda, thanks, having some problems with it too, but I believe it will get fixed

Paints, Teri's are pretty special aren't they?

Steve, I have always wanted a JD tractor, and this is a nice one, but it won't start about one key turn out of five. It quit on the boss while he was mowing hay yesterday and wouldn't start yesterday morning. The dealer had a guy in here in a hour in the morning and it seemed okay ,but then the thing in the afternoon. I believe the dealer will get it right, but I hope sooner rather than late. We are so far behind on hay that it is scary.
I got a huge kick out of the sign and just had to take a picture.
