Happy Big 6-0 to the boss

Liz worked, literally all day yesterday, producing a birthday feast for her dad....chicken and biscuits from my birthday chickens, green bean casserole from my aunt and uncle's green beans, mashed potatoes from the garden, southern biscuits, and this amazing three-layer chocolate cake with white chocolate chips.....I have only one thing to say...Hooray for leftovers!!

He's looking kind of corny, Happy Birthday Boss!

Beautiful corn, my compliments to the photographer. 10# is a lot of corn. Beef, corn and potatoes, it doesn't get better than that!

Is this some kind of weather prediction? Hmmmmm, wise dairyman put up many ears of corn - BAD WINTER!!

Happy Birthday Mr. Boss, sir.

There should be plenty of cornbread, cornmeal pancakes, corn chowder, fresh corn, creamed corn casserole, corn fritters, macaroni and cheese and corn, corn Jell-o, corn grog, roasted corn, fried corn cakes, and just in time for Halloween, your very own pumpcorns.

Deb, thanks on his behalf. He mostly worked...not much choice I guess. Thanks for your kind words. We love the windows too

Linda, I like your thinking!

Nita, thanks
I sure hope it isn't an indication of weather to come! lol. We like corn though and I am tickled to have a lot of it put up.

Jan, double thanks!

Alan, as you know those started a long, long time ago.

Matt, thanks, keep us posted on how your significant other is coming along. Darned horse anyhow!!

Tipper, he says thanks!

Steve, sometimes you can get kind of corny, you know
lol, but thanks!
And did you forget candy corn?

NYV, I'll tell him...and he does do those stories, but I guess I do too. You know of course, how we both walked to school in blizzards, uphill both ways. lol

Teri, I will tell her....she already has an order for a cake from my mom, whose birthday was yesterday. she cooked so much good stuff we got to have leftovers last night and I swear they were even better!
