I'm with JB, that was, and is my favorite book. Beautiful oxen and the other pics are pretty good, too.

There is a local fair around here called Wintering In, but never any livestock are displayed, so it isn't really a very accurate depiction of a pioneer wintering in.

Glad you got to go to the fair, again...

JB, they are neat, but I would imagine a lot of work. The pair is the picture are amazingly gentle

Nita, this one was kind of a duty call. I told people I would be there so I had to go. It is nice though

Jan, thanks, it is a chance for folks from the city to meet farmers and learn a little about farming. Some years it is held at a large, modern farm, some years at a more low key place like this one
