I just saw your access to the fox article through Feedjit, and see that you are in Forestport! (or your access is anyway). FORESTPORT!!!! How cool! No one knows where Forestport is... we hiked through there last summer on my quest to hike the whole North Country Trail. Very nice little town. Jeanie Wolcott wrote an article in the Boonville paper about us. People were very friendly. We ate at the cafe a couple of times.
I'm getting ready for this year's hiking now- in MN. That topic is on myqualityday.blogspot.com if you are interested.
I grew up in the Finger Lakes so I have an ongoing love affair with rural NY.
Dani, thanks, it is one of the nicest things about the place. My plants just love it
Sharkbytes, sadly I fear it's a quirk of the isp company. We actually live in Fultonville, quite some distance away. However, the boss's late mother grew up near Boonville, so she was probably familiar with it. I am so glad you had me check out your blog as I have one of those spotted stomach plants, but didn't have a name for it. Now I do and thank you!
Teri, she was off to cut more pricker bushes and I thought she looked cute all togged up with sun glasses and flannels and a good solid old border coll\lie in tow.
Kristen, I am totally addicted to sunrises up here on the hill and never miss one if I can help it. Love you too!
Linda, thanks, it was nice....
FC, thanks, great post today on Pure Florida! lol
OneCowGirl, we are thinking about having a pancake supper one of these nights....we have fresh sausage too, so it should work out well. Thanks
The Wife, thanks! I loved your cartoon. If I knew how I would have borrowed it and posted it too! lol

Awww . . . she is a sweetheart.
She lights up a room the way that lovely sunset lit up the sky.
I would give my eyeteeth to have a view like that.
We're pretty much in a woods surrounded by other houses.
Some mornings I'll drive outta here just to see the sun and horizon parting company.
Cathy, thanks so much! We love her too.
I am grateful for the view every day. We have some issues with the steep hills, but we sure do get payback
THEY MAN WITH NO EYES!!!!!! or woman, remember cool hand luke?
Hi again... so, ok... I know where Fultonville is too. Glad you found your Gasteria. Does yours make babies like a rabbit?
