Sunday Stills...Water Tower
This, our village water tower, is on the road that runs right behind the farm. I ran up yesterday to get the photo, then took the other views of the misty mountains and hills behind us on the way home.
Matt, used to be an open concrete tank like a big swimming pool. This is probably more sanitary but the water still tastes awful! Love you too.
Lisa, I guess there are a few of them around but you sure don't see many
Dani, thanks, we are so lucky...and this is about the most amazing year for birds. Every day is a wonder. Happy Sunday to you too, thank you
Jeanelle, thanks for visiting and for the kind words. It is indeed a Harvestore.
thecrazysheeplady, thank you very much
Far Side, it is quite a thing...and it amazes me how doing Sunday Stills has opened my eyes. I have driven that road literally hundreds of times and never noticed the beautiful view of the mountains there....
Holly, I am not sure how many feet...I will have to ask
Marie, thank you, as I said to far side, I had never noticed the view of the mountains back there before
LInda, thanks...and no, probably not. lol. the one it replaced was just a big uncovered concrete tank though....although I don't think anyone ever did.
RG, it is a big improvement over the old one it replaced not so many years ago. The water still tastes terrible though.
FC, oh, we have those too. I am not sure why the village went with the silo, but it seems to work all right.
theegggather, thank you!
VioletSky, thanks, I love New York...upstate that is...
Nice shot! Do they paint the towers black because you are in snow country? We don't paint anything black here because of the heat, we'd have boiling water if we had one and did.
flowerweaver, you are right, it does look black! However it is actually dark blue, which is the color Harvestore brand makes its silos. I don't really know why though...interesting question!
Laughing Orca Ranch, thanks so much!
WWF, thanks, I couldn't resist...the mountains were so pretty that day.
Kelly, it is kind of cool. Until they built this one I had no idea that they made them.

Love Ya
Great! I would of never thought of a silo water tower.
What beauty you live in! I could be happy birding there for quite awhile. :)
Happy Sunday friend.
What a beautiful area you live in! Thanks for sharing these lovely scenes. The watertower is interesting....is it a Harvestore?
I'm enjoying your blog. I'm on a dairy farm in Iowa.
Beautiful!
Very interesting water tower, I have never seen one like it before. Your view is very pretty, thanks for taking us along on the drive:)
Great job, big around isn't it?
lovely scenic shots~
Nice countryside! I'll bet you can't swim in that water tank.
I like that. You even have the village name on it.
Funny. I guess if you have real hills you don't have to build a tall tower like around here.
Good shots, beautiful scenery.
So another different style! And what beautiful surroundings where you live.
Steffie, thank you. It is quite a thing isn't it?

Dead on! Thats some awesome scenery as well to go along with the tower photo! Great job!
Very interesting...a water tower that looks like a short silo!
