Horses for Lisa
Our bird counting peregrinations take us past a pretty horse farm with neatly trimmed barns and long, white fences....and horses, beautiful, playful horses.
These Percherons were playing, leaping and rearing and spraying snow everywhere, like a beer commercial or some other exciting thing. Alas, this was the best I could do....
I love to see horses and other big animals playing. Pure joy. That sunset is pretty much "pure joy" too. That sunset pink-gold catches my eye and my breath every time I see it.
June, how I wish I could have captured the full extent of their play. It was incredible to see such massive creature playing like puppies
Dani, they are a special treat every year when we count that road
Teri, isn't it cool?
AKA, I laughed so hard at your comment! Perfect! There are a number of responses that I thought of, but I am afraid to publish them. suffice to say, you got that right. lol
colleen, thanks, they are so much fun to watch!
WW, I would have missed it, but my brother and the kids called me outside. The photos don't begin to do justice to the colors
Lisa, thanks, sorry I didn't get the really good shots
FC, thanks, do you ever get to see the big hitches go? We have been privileged to see some of the real greats of draft horse driving, such as Dick Sparrow (google him) drive an 8-up. Incredible!!!!!!!!
Linda, thanks, I missed some really great ones with them leaping and running, but I was shooting across the cab of the truck out the window and I just couldn't get them in the view finder
Earl, didn't think of video. Wish I had!!!
Michelle, I know just what you mean. Right now we only have a pony, and although he is a big guy in a small package I miss "real" horses
SCMomma, thanks, it was a great end to a special day

Those are some beautiful horses!
I love seeing them play too!
Caught a politician in that middle shot I see.
Wonderful shots, even the butt one! I love to watch horses play.
That sunset was lovely, so pink... I love pink. The horses were pretty with their winter coats.
Thank you, they are beautiful and you did a great job of the snow spray!
I don't get all mushy over horses, but draft horses ... okay, they thrill me.
Neat photos!
Beautiful! You did a good job with these action shots!

Got video capabilities? by accident is almost always fun.
I have horses since I was little. They have always been my favorite. I can't wait until the day I have my own once again.
Those horses are so pretty and it looks like they were having fun. That sunset is spectacular!
I love the sunset. Almost a sunset rainbow!
