Photo Contest (Sticky Post, scroll down for new ones)
Much to my surprise I discovered that I was a finalist in a photography contest. I had completely forgotten that I entered and couldn't even remember what photo I submitted.......The final winner will be decided by voting. If you wish to place a vote for my entry you can do so here. There are a lot of really nice entries and I am tickled to have a photo chosen to be among them....mine is almost at the end so you will get to enjoy them all.
You can vote once per day until June 4th. I would be most grateful and I thank you in advance.

Rev Paul, thank you kind sir!
Done!
Some wonderful shots in the contest. Yours got my vote, though.
Lovely photo, lovely story. Gets my vote.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!
What a bunch of beautiful pics of farm and ranch life! But my heart belongs to Northview Dairy and the wonderful stories and pics you produce here!! My vote went to you.
Those were great photos but my vote went to you! Good luck.
Gonna vote again today!
I went there, but couldn't find a way to get past the first picture, so I haven't voted yet.
Mom
Mappy, thanks
Wil, thank you, there are some terrific ones aren't there?
Jan, thank you so much. I would really like to do well if I can.
Dani, thanks! I was so surprised. I had literally completely forgotten that I had entered, having done so entirely on a whim

SC Momma, thank you... I am hoping
Dani, thanks again. I think I will make this a sticky post...but I hate to bore everyone..
Mom, thanks, I know you got it done afterward and I really appreciate it!
Gets my vote too...great capture.
congratulations! and done!
Just visited the site and I voted for you because you did have the BEST photo, but the sheepdog leading the flock in was great. They were all beautiful pictures and I wish more people would appreciate the hard work our farmers do every day.
I'm on it! What a dear, sweet photo.
Linda, thank you. They are all so nice..I am honored just to have a photo among them
Ericka, thank you and thank you!
anon, thank you! I liked them all...they have so much to tell about the story of farming. I was honored to have a photo chosen to be in the collection
Cathy, thank you!
I love your pictures! You do such a nice job they are always so good. I tried to vote but with my dial up I couldn't get the pictures to come up but I am going to definately keep trying.
Milk Maid, thank you so much for trying! There are so many wonderful entries I don't have a whole lot of hope of winning, but it is worth a try.
I must be doing something wrong. This is third time I've asked this question. What type of camera are you using and do you use it for all the photo's? WHAT is the animal being led. Can't figure what I'm looking at and don't know why these questions don't show up after I sign out. Thanks for the answers if this gets through.
Anon, it worked this time. Sorry about the difficulties. I use a Canon S3 IS, given to me by a reader of this blog. It is the most amazing thing and has changed my life and the way I look at things. It is a rare day that I don't take pictures.
The animal is our miniature horse, BlackJack. He is a pistol, although you wouldn't know it from the photo. When he trots he looks like a Percheron, with that wonderful knee action that those mighty horses display. A lot of horse in a little package.
Thanks for the answer about the camera and the horse. I thought the horse looked like a small lion. Got me a digital canon powershoot camera and it's a brave new world to me. The kind people at the Inman Center (actually Dr. Laurilla) in Amsterdam are teaching us (all thumbs) seniors how to use a digital camera. He has the patience of Job. Its a lot of fun, very, very confusing and I already know if I ever want to take the kinds of pictues I want I will have to upgrade. But, first we are learning about this exciting way to take picutes. Love your photo's and I'm going back to vote for you and your little Percheron. Sorry about your day, on today's blog. My gosh, how do you people keep your wits about you. God Bless you all.
Anon, it must be exciting to be learning how to use a digital camera from an expert. I have been taught by kids. lol...whenever I need to learn how to do something I just ask them. They already know for some reason, even my son who doesn't even have a camera.
Thanks for being so kind and voting for my photo. I really have little hope of winning against such wonderful submissions, but it is sweet of people to keep voting every day.
I tried but the link won't work for me. I suppose because it reads my address as being from a "furon country". I would have voted for you everyday otherwise!
IslaG, I am so sorry that it won't let you vote and I thank you very much for trying to do so. I am so grateful for the folks who have been voting, keeping this photo in the top ten among very challenging competition.
