For Sale..Roy Roger's Trigger

This is truly creepy,
I'm sorry.
There are some things I am just glad that I can't afford to buy.

I can't imagine a better use for a ton of money than a dead iconic horse from the forties and fifties.

That is pretty creepy!

The last time I saw Trigger, he was in the Roy Rogers Museum in California - back in '89, I think. Since the museum moved to the Midwest, I didn't know they left some things out.

That's just sad.

LInda, it has always had an ick factor...knowing that he was stuffed..but the idea of auctioning him off....just ewwwww

Jeffro, there you go! Just what every house needs.

Lisa, for sure

Rev. Paul, Some of the artifacts on sale are quite nice, beautiful saddles etc.

Hey they are selling Trigger Jr. and Buttermilk also... It's just weird... but I wonder who is going to BUY them... and isn't it sad that a dead stuffed horse is worth more than some homes?

Your link inspired me to check out Roy Rogers' memorial page, and read his biography.

WOW!!

What a great man! He and his wife adopted a bunch of poor orphaned children... the bio is fascinating.

It's too bad a museum wouldn't take Trigger. They take the dumb old stuffed skunks and beavers of Upstate NY and place them in glass boxes for us to see... I'd much rather see a horse than a skunk. I ALREADY KNOW what skunks look like...
