Another Sad Story of Farmer Suicide
From John Bunting.
This is a sad tale of a hard-working young family caught up in the very vortex of the dairy price cyclone. If you think current somewhat higher milk prices are a panacea you need look no farther than the price of corn and fuel and the scary activities of the futures market and cheese to see that things are still ugly and not getting prettier fast.

How very sad.
This happened near where I live. So incredibly sad on many levels and for many reasons.
CTG, such stories are just heartbreaking. Here is a guy who did a great job and the dairy economy just wrecked him and his whole family
Jan, oh, no, I didn't realize that it was close to you. It is sad...these stories really get to me.
When I read accounts like this, my mind resists trying to contemplate the mountain of pain that would drive this poor man to take his life.
Unbearable to imagine a life so completely shattered that hope does not exist.
Cathy, they bother me, because these are people who truly did the best they could...gave up so much...and they were just ground up by a system that will probably never change because more powerful folks gain so much by it.
