This guy was the size of my thumb,
creeping (and creeping us out)
along the edge of the porch step
My efforts are pretty lame this week. Not much of a hand at night photography.

Boy, I would have never seen that little wooly fella in the dark!!
I like Sir John's glow in the dark eyes!
These are great takes for the challenge! The fuzzy critter looks as if it is ready for a crazy cold winter.
It's tough getting good shots in the dark. Mine were dismal until I went in the house to take photos.

Please let me know if anybody disagrees!!!
(Only joking. Honest!)
Good shots.
I think those are good shots, you met the challenge well.
I liked the last one with the Coneflowers and the plow handles..well done:)
Some nice shots in this post! Of the distant city lights and a waking sky, the spooky eyes... :)
Thank you all very much. This was another kind of hard one, but I enjoyed the challenge very much.
Cool shots again, but those kitty eyes are the best..:-)
I like the "kitty glow" shot.
Very neat caterpillar!

Once again, thank you all so much...
And Cathy, thank you especially for the ID. It is wonderful to know folks who know how to find this stuff! I am so glad I didn't touch him...he didn't look too tempting to touch anyhow. lol
Ah! But wait! According to the second link - you can handle this little bugger :)
I am seriously neurotic about fuzzy caterpillars and probably wouldn't trust my ID enough to handle it.
Cathy, I do not mess with them. lol Been served an awful set of injuries from gypsy moth (or whatever they are) caterpillars and avoid the prickly ones like the plague.
