Sunday Stills...Happy New Year
This is my favorite shot of the year. Or at least I think so. I love birds and hummers are among my very favorites. The two that hatched at our place this summer were nearly as tame as chickens, but lot more fun.
As to my photographic hopes for 2012. I hope I have the camera with me when I need it and that the birds will hold still and the flowers will shine and the light will be right and things will fall together. If they don't, well, I will still have fun and I hope you do too.
You are so right...I hope to have my camera with me and everything falls into place. If I forget to take it, of course, that is when I see the perfect photo!
Happy New Year Threecollie and all of you at the Dairy!

Yes, yes, yes! Please keep your camera ready, because you have eyes to see what is wonderful and the right words to share your wonders with us. I sure look forward to another year of following your adventures. May all blessings be yours in the coming year.
The perfect Sunday Still, which is something hummers NEVER seem to be! I echo your photographic hopes for 2012! Hope the New Year brings nothing but good things to you and your family.
^^What Woodswalker said so well! I love that photo, and I remember well the blog about the juvenile hummers.
I do hope that 2012 will start out with furnace repairs and real heat - preferably before this week's bitter cold. Any current news about that?
Thank you for a wonderful year of all the goodness that you serve up for us. I admire your humor and upbeat attitude, and reading your blog always makes my day a bit better.
2BD, thanks, I keep at it, but with very mixed results. Happy New Year
Lisa, thanks, sister, Happy New Year back atcha!

FC, Happy New Year to our Florida friends!
Linda, thanks and Happy New Year to all of you.
WW, thank you and Happy New Year. Your photos put mine to shame, so please keep up your great work.
Jeffro, they bring much joy on their tiny, buzzy wings. Happy New Year!
Caroline, thank you so much and Happy New Year
Lori, thanks! Happy New Year!
Shirley, thanks and Happy New Year.
NW, thanks dear friend. You brighten my life! We sure are ready for central heat in any form. Prolonged hypothermia seems to be a pretty fair weight loss strategy but I am plumb tired of it. Lol, Happy New Year

The little devils are so much fun to watch - I have to go to OK to my sister's to see 'em, though. None around here.
Happy New Year to the denizens of Northview Diary!

You captured it well, and that's not easy!
A Still hummer for a Sunday Stills shot is indeed a noteworthy photo! Well done. Happy New Year!
