The little red truck got him to NJ with as smooth and nice a ride as you could ask for. Half way to work, same exact spot to within a hundredth of a mile from where the Bomber stb and it died this morning.
I think there are rays or something. He HAS to get to work. This stinks.
***and we cannot do one danged thing to help him. Our car barely limps around town here; it would never make the trip. Plus the cows are relentless. You can't skip a milking or milk more than a little late or early....ever....sometimes I wonder.

he can have my minivan with no reverse in it.
That's WEIRD.
What now?
Poor Alan.
So sorry!
Sounds like Mr. Murphy is sitting on Alan's shoulder.... wishing him, and you, the best of luck. I've had experiences like that, and they tend to run in 3's.... hoping he's done with vehicle problems for a while!
ouch.
Good luck to all of you....
Oh crap! Not the way to start a week.
Sounds like a Monday kind of day. Highly annoying, you bet, but in the long run he'll be fine, I'm sure. How could he not be, coming from a family as skilled and resourceful as yours? But I'm a mom too, of now almost middle-aged kids, and I still wish I could make the world perfect for them.
Thank you all for your kind comments. His day went downhill from morning...lost his wallet and phone after leaving them on his aunt's car and on and on...but someone saw the stuff, stopped his aunt, and saved his stuff. he got where he was going. he got back. it was ugly, but there was plenty of room for more and uglier.
What a day! I HATE DAYS LIKE THAT and I hate it when our kids have them and we can't help!
Darn the luck!!!

You know Marianne . . . I just commented above in that heartbreak about Jeffro . . and now I read this . .
I am so sorry. I know what a great man Alan is and this stretch of bad luck is horrible.
Give him a hug for all of us next time he's home.
Cathy, alas, they just keep piling up. Major repairs on the little red truck. Hopefully the dealership will come through with something but they may not. And so many bah humbugs at home. Ah, well, we are luckier than many
