Linda, I can't imagine not having a dog. I didn't for a while after Daisy, but there was this empty place in the back of my mind where a dog must live. I was hollow. Finn is a handful for me, a big boy and rowdy with it. Mack, bad boy that he is, shares a sweet connection with me, mostly made up of mischief and naughtiness, but much needed. And Finn nearly always apologizes when he almost drags me off my feet. I don't know how to get along without them.
Cathy, thanks, I think I need to print that photo. It is a favorite of mine. That girl and that dog love each other in a way that older folks no longer have room for. They are buddies in a basic, no-nonsense, very sweet way.
