I just got back from a visit in Amish country in Indiana and ended up behind a farmer walking 6 of these huge Belgians down the road. He was definitely struggling, not for control, but to keep up with them. I think we both heaved a sigh of relief when he finally turned down his farm lane.
Denny, we see such scenes almost every day. There is one pinto draft a couple of miles from here that was hotter than a three-dollar pistol when they were starting him in harness this spring. We saw him the other day pulling with a Belgian, and although he was under control I was sure glad it wasn't me on the reins! lol
