Both yummy - especially the sunrise! Thanks for sharing.
Ha! Only in a blog with "North" in the title would you have a "maple guy"! :) Too cool.
Beautiful sunrise ~
How lucky to have your own "maple guy" :)
Does your Maple guy harvest from your trees, so you get a share? That's how it works around her with honey bees, my neighbors tell me. I don't have any bees on us. We are too close to others I guess.
Real pretty picture.
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!
Don't let the dogs loose on that crazy person running up the driveway.
It's only me! With a monster stack of buckwheat waffles in one hand and a foot high pile of cornmeal pancakes in the other. Melty butter spills over both plates on the way up and the smell of sausage follows close by.
On a morning like that....... how could ya go wrong???
:-)
Nita, funny thing this year, we are getting the red skies without the bad weather. Usually only happens in a drought, but we are very wet.
Rurality, we like him too. lol
Deb, thanks so much. It was nice and we are lucky, and lucky to have the maple woods, which are stately and productive.
Jinglebbob, that is exactly right. He taps our north facing woods, good for him, because it runs late and extends his season and gives us syrup every year. He also invited us to come to the sugar bush for a pancake breakfast (he puts them on for the public) but we couldn't get away to attend.
Steve, we already have the sausage so you would be all set...and we are planning a morning pretty much like that pretty soon. Just gotta get a day when everybody can actually be here to partake? Got your plane ticket yet? lol
