Here are some of yesterday's dining room and living room window views.
Too much snow, huh? I wish I could say that I spent the day in my Sunday chair, but alas the stove was cranky and I had to do some wading, shoveling of wood and careful combusticating using FC's special Florida fatwood.
The fluffy precipitation can stop any time now as far as I'm concerned. When I figure out how to get it done I am going to send it up to Linda.
Anyhow, I took these pictures to submit to an interesting blog, What I See Out My Window.
The author of the blog posts pictures sent by people all over the world of the views outside their windows. He asked me to post a link in case any of you want to take a look or even participate in the fun with your own window views. He has pictures of everything from kangaroos to Northview Farm, so it is worth the trip.

I hope you have a pretty day today. It's snowing here again but it seems to be sticking close to the lake. I don't envy you having to be out in the cold this morning.

I thought of you and the fat wood this am when I lit the stove, our trees are fir, so we never have to look very far for pitchy wood.
I want to send Linda our snow too, she likes the cold. Apparently ;)

Just wait 'til this wind quits here or it'll blow right back at you but I'll sure take any of the white stuff in a day or two. In the meantime I'm going to try and take a picture of the wind....or not.
I'm getting so jealous of the top half of county, hogging all that snow! Poor little Alabama doesn't get any...
wow. that looks... cold. did i mention that it was 75 here on saturday? hee hee. (don't worry - i'm going to land headfirst in a snowbank when i get home to ohio - dad's promised.)

FC, it is a nice concept isn't it? We have had a lot of snow in the past few days and it fell hard when it came....and I love the fat wood. I hoard my tube of it behind the crock on the big scale in the dining room. It has never failed me!
Nita, we have very little in the way of evergreens, mostly hard woods. I guess they need the moisture that the snow brings. Here everything was soggy when it came and there is still no frost in the ground.

Linda, wish we really could send it. It is just a pest to us and it is so wet here....the milk truck went into a virtual pond right in the barn yard the other day!
Rurality, wish we could share so you wouldn't feel deprived, sort of like a Christmas present from us to you. lol We certainly have enough to go around.
Erika, yeah, one of our friends called us up the other night to reassure us that even if it is only zero here it is seventy in Florida where he is spending some time. lol
Heather, I know what you mean. If it weren't that it will probably be here until April I wouldn't mind it so much. It is pretty and I find myself running for the camera and taking what amounts to the same picture over and over all winter. Thanks for visiting and taking time to comment!
Oh Oh Oh!!! Is that your barn? It's my favorite kind, the old and weathered kind. It reminds me of my hay guy's barn and I always say that's what Heaven is like. Beautiful photos - I love your views.
Teri, it is our old heifer barn. We don't use it a whole lot because the stones make it cold and damp in the winter. It is a pretty old thing though.
